Weekly {Pre/Re} View - 10.7.19-10.13.19

I started thinking there's always so many random things that I see, hear, read, or experience that I don't share with y'all - sometimes I do a little and sometimes not at all (not intentionally though!).

So I've decided every Monday - I want to wrap up all of those things in a little package right here for you! There's a terrible stigma around Mondays and I really wanted to give you all something positive to check out or even look forward to on Mondays - it's all about mindset anyway and I'm just trying to help!

 Welcome to my *NEW*
Weekly {Pre/Re} View!

This was the first week that it has FINALLY started to feel like fall! I had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season! (Also a memory popped up from last year on Facebook/Instagram that I had my first PSL last year on the same day - so clearly fall has been showing up the same time the last couple of year).

Fall also means Fall Break - for all of you with kiddos & teachers. However - I have to say - y'all gave me some serious FOMO because I feel like EVERYONE was at Disney! 😢😢
I have always been a little obsessed with Disney and have been to Disney World 3-4 times in my life, but I'm thinking a trip back soon needs to get on the books. Who wants to go?! ...or who is taking me with me the next time they go?!

What happened last week? Well...

--> Do y'all remember when there was a technology that blocked people from having cell service and therefore using them? Like in movie theatres or hospitals? Businesses have gotten away from that since it can be unsafe in case of an emergency but now... there is a new one. Apparently some artists are becoming bothered by the amount of people on their phones at concerts & plays. So - introducing: Yondr.

Some festivals, performance venues & theatres (big & small), libraries and even court rooms are already putting this to use. Performers are already saying that they're loving the interaction and vibe from the crowd so much more, which does make sense. We do tend to be more focused on capturing a memory than experiencing it. I try to find a balance of doing both. There definitely some things I want to capture to share with others down the road and there are some moments that just can't be captured on a video or in a picture and you must just be there and feel it
I completely get that people would take to this better than handing over their phones. Something that was mentioned in the story I saw was that you can put your phone on vibrate so you would know if you need to go check it at one of the unlocking bases - but for those who only use their cell phones as a camera - what do you do if you're unprepared?!

I guess I'll need to dig out my old Nikon coolshot...?

I'm curious about your thoughts - would you go to a festival or concert that implements this?
How do you feel about it?

--> There was a hilarious video of a gender reveal fail. Please watch & laugh:

--> Ellen's call to kindness no matter your political affiliation was gold. People have been so nasty to each other over being a Democrat & Republican and we all just need to be kind. No matter your political stance, we are all still human. <3

--> Speaking of Ellen - we all know she has her show but did you know she has a new stand up special on Netflix?! It's called "Relatable." You must go watch it! She talks about videos of birds dancing, the fantasy person we think we are when we pack for vacation and alllll of those medication ads! I died laughing, especially on the bit about the stepladder... seriously check it out! You'll be glad you did.

--> I love crime and/or murder mysteries and have seen quite a few of them. But stumbled across a new one last night that was SO good (and only 40 min!). I couldn't believe it was from 2017 and I'd never heard of it - but it was Emmy nominated as "Outstanding Short Documentary" and it's a must see!

--> Real outfit of the week: Now that my closet is alllll organized after the massive reorg last weekend I can finally see what I have! So for this past week, I'm calling it a tie:

Top: Old Navy
Belt: Vintage (from my momma)
Pants: Express
Heels: Nine West
Cardigan: Old Navy
Tank: Calvin Klein
Pants: Old Navy
Heels: Jessica Simpson

That closet mirror though (left)... not made for #ootd pics.
Now I just can't wait to have my good full length mirror and office space back. Hurry up home reno!

--> I'm not a regular shopper BUT my emails have BLOWN up this weekend with sales! American Eagle (30-60% off - includes Aerie, Tailgate - ends TODAY!), Express (40% off + extra 50% off in your cart on select items - ends tomorrow!), Old Navy (extra 30% off even clearance - ends TODAY), Banana Republic, LOFT are all doing great sales starting at 30% and some up to 60%! If you love any of these stores, go check them out, but hurry though! Some of these sales were only extended to today or tomorrow! All you shoppers - get on it!

--> This past Wednesday I got my hair done with my girl, Tori (she is a Jane of all- trades: lashes/hair/makeup/tanning and is amazing at them all!). If you're looking for a new hair stylist/lash girl/makeup girl/spray tans in Knoxville - get in with Tori! But in case she is booked, the salon is awesome as well! Check it out: Top Knox Beauty Bar in Cedar Bluff (same plaza as Home Depot & Gabe's)

Knoxville friends! I need your help! Where are all the pumpkin patches and corn mazes that you recommend?! Which ones are your favorites? I've been here for a few years and have yet to get to one here and I'm dying to check some out this season!

--> If you've followed me on Instagram for a little while, you know that I love Val's Boutique. I love supporting local and Val and her girls are just the best! She has the best sales too if you're a bargain shopping like me! You can order online here or if you're local you can shop at the West Hills store (beside Mooyah across from Chili's) or at her Farragut headquarters. Go give them a follow on Instagram or like on Facebook to keep up with their newest arrivals!

And that's a wrap!

I hope you enjoy this series and looking forward to next Monday! Hope you are too!

Lots of fun going on this weekend with a Halloween party Friday with some girlfriends, an event Saturday for the Knoxville Opera and then a brunch get together on Sunday with some new girlfriends! So excited to get this week started!

 Happy Monday!

I'd love to meet you/interact with you!
