Weekly {Pre/Re} View - 11.11.19-11.17.19
Welcome to my
Weekly {Pre/Re} View!
There's always so many random things that I see, hear, read, or experience that I don't share with y'all - sometimes I do a little and sometimes not at all (not intentionally though!).
Every Monday - I want to wrap up all of those things in a little package right here for you! There's a terrible stigma around Mondays and I really wanted to give you all something positive to check out or even look forward to on Mondays - it's all about mindset anyway and I'm just trying to help!
Keeping with the Disney & music theme - there are two things happening this Friday (TOMORROW!) that if you like either of those two things, you NEED to know about them!
* FROZEN 2 opens in theatres this Friday, November 22!
I love being able to recycle pieces! I have several items of clothing that have an emotional attachment to them and being able to re-wear them years later makes me happy!
Now - for my weekend re-cap!
Last week was filled with so much fun!
On Monday (11th), we got our first snow!!
In NOVEMBER! WHAT?!
I usually prefer snow anytime from Thanksgiving to my birthday in March - but I love it so much I wasn't even upset.
It wasn't much, but it was SO PRETTY against the different colored leaves!
Thursday (14th):
Had the honor to attend the East Tennessean of the Year event honoring Phil Fulmer. It was at the Cherokee Country Club - which is one of the most gorgeous venues in Knoxville. Dr. Schweitzer from East Tennessee Historical Society gave a fun review of Fulmer's genealogy, Coach Fulmer gave an inspiring acceptance speech (scroll down for a quote from it) and we got to meet Smokey!
Saturday:
I have been SO excited about these tickets since the concert was first announced in September! Neyland isn't just for football anymore! It was SUCH a fun place for a concert and especially Garth's Stadium Tour. He played my favorites - "Shameless", "Thunder Rolls", "Ain't Goin Down (Til the Sun Comes Up), "Unanswered Prayers", "The River" and of course "Friends in Low Places"!
It was a record breaking show - with over 84,000 people, it was the largest stadium show in the Southeast!
Garth said it was the "Best end to the BEST week."
Sunday:
Not a single romantic or beautiful thing happened today - did all the boring house things: scrubbed the shower, bathroom mirror, dishes and laundry! AND watched the first movie on Disney+!
My brain was swimming with all the options and so many things I wanted to watch first! I honestly surprised myself with what I picked! I looked at some Disney cartoons I haven't seen in a while (and some I've never seen) but as I was scrolling I came across...
SOLD! I clicked play immediately. My brother and I used to watch this movie at my Mamaw's house and LOVED it. There's a little whistle tune that we tried to learn to whistle on as well! It is such an inspiring TRUE STORY about chasing a dream, learning through tough circumstances and finding courage. If you've never seen it, please promise me that you will give it a watch!
Alright
Y'all know moving my body has been one of the 5 challenges I've been working on for the end of the year and Patty Lauren also has full workouts you can check out on Youtube (for free) workouts. We all know all the eating holidays are coming up and she's also starting a 21 day challenge soon (also free!)! Sign up for her newsletter on her website here to get all the details first!!
I am so thankful to call this babe my friend.
Her story is so motivating! Also - how beautiful is she?! She owns a personal training business in Knoxville but she also teaches some group fitness classes, writes in her blog, plus posts educational & inspirational content on her Instagram! Go check her out and follow along!
The last thing I wanted to share with you was I quote I heard!
Coach Fulmer shared this during his East Tennessean of the Year acceptance speech and it resonated with me so much that I had to share with you all!

I'm a little late on my weekly pre/re view and it's already almost the weekend!
- BUT -
I had some things that were too good not to share from last week and coming up this week!
Normally I start with what happened with my week, but I'm going to cover...
what happened last week!!!
Well first and most important! Disney's streaming service - Disney+ was released!
YAY!!!!
I've reallllly loved Disney for as long as I can remember (most people have right?). I'm so blessed to have been to Walt Disney World several times and hope to go again in the future.
But did you know that Disney has SO MANY OTHER MOVIES other than just the classic cartoons you and I likely grew up with???
I didn't realize how many different things that would be on here!
The classic Disney cartoons, all the princess movies (and the live action ones! Yes I checked for Cinderella first!), all things National Geographic, classic live actions (Swiss Family Robinson!), the best sports movies (Remember the Titans & Invincible), AND all the Marvel & Star Wars movies!
By the way - if you have Verizon, you can get your first year of Disney+ for free!
Such an exciting treat for this Disney nerd/lover! DM or Email me for step by step instructions!
Switching gears to music!
The CMAs were last Wednesday!
It was jam packed of female powerhouses!
The CMAs this year were co-hosted by Tennessee's own Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood.
Man, what a powerhouse trio!
"This one's for the girls!"
On top of these ladies hosting, several more of the best ladies in country came out to perform older classics and snippets of their own - highlighting what women have done for country music over the years! <3
Not in order of the picture below: Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, Reba McIntire, Sara Evans, Crystal Gayle, Terri Clark, the Highwomen (Natalie Hemby, Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires), Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Tanya Tucker, and Gretchen Wilson.
Some of my favorite ladies growing up!
My only question is...
Where was Shania?!
When I dug into it, apparently she actually has a coming up - 2 huge performances (one this week and another the first week of December).
But she how perfect would "Man I Feel Like a Woman" been for that female focused performance?!
A couple of others missing to me were Faith Hill & Trisha Yearwood - anyone else you thought were missing?
One of the best performances of the night, that Garth Brooks even mentioned in his speech, was
Reba performing her hit (and one of my favorites), Fancy!
Finally - one of my very favorite country stars (that I got to rock out with this weekend too) won Entertainer of the Year!!
For the 7th time!
Woohoo Garth Brooks!
You totally deserve the Entertainer of the Year award any time!
Keeping with the Disney & music theme - there are two things happening this Friday (TOMORROW!) that if you like either of those two things, you NEED to know about them!
* FROZEN 2 opens in theatres this Friday, November 22!
I'm love Disney, especially the princess stories, but I ESPECIALLY love Frozen because on of my favorite ladies plays the lead, Elsa.
Idina Menzel has played two of my favorite roles on Broadway: Elphaba in Wicked, Maureen in RENT
I can't wait to hear what she brings to Frozen 2!
ALSO:
* ELTON JOHN is coming to KNOXVILLE!!
Tickets go on sale THIS FRIDAY (TOMORROW!), November 22!
He'll be here on June 6, 2020!
I love his music and see him perform one last time is a MUST!
Real outfit of the week: I HAD to share this with y'all.
I wore this outfit to work last week and every. single. thing. I have on (except the shoes) is at least a decade old... or older!

AND
Rocked Neyland?
I would have to agree! It was pretty cold, but SO worth it!
