Weekly {Pre/Re} View - 1.13.20-1.19.20

Welcome to my
Weekly {Pre/Re} View!

There's always so many random things that I see, hear, read, or experience that I don't share with y'all - sometimes I do a little and sometimes not at all (not intentionally though!).

At the start of the week, (either Monday or Tuesday) - I want to wrap up all of those things in a little package right here for you! There's a terrible stigma around the beginning of the week and I really want to give you all something positive to check out or even look forward to when you start your week - it's all about mindset anyway and I'm just trying to help!

It's my first weekly series of 2020!

- what happened last week!! -

*** AWARDS season is HERE!
 The SAG awards were last night and I've been keeping an eye on the fashion trends I've seen all month! I can't wait to share all I'm seeing! {stay tuned for my award season trends and Oscar roundup coming next month!}

I was a little disappointed that the Game of Thrones cast didn't win one last time for "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series" but since "The Crown" won - I'm excited to check it out!

*** Speaking of the royals, I can't imagine the courage it took for Harry to make the decision he did for the preservation of HIS own family. His speech from last night's dinner for Sentebal (AIDS/HIV charity) speaks volumes on the son, grandson, husband and father he is and aims to be {read it here}. I was so happy to see the Queen supporting Harry & Meghan's decision to "breakup" with the royal family. I have always loved following the monarchy and even all the traditions but the Queen is a wise woman and has successfully ruled a country for * year, through not always the best of times. {Read her statement of support here!}
It will be exciting to them work together at their own independence to make a difference!

*** The Oscar nominations were announced this past week!
I am over the moon that "Judy" has done so well in awards this season! <3

*** Betty White celebrated her birthday on Friday! She's such a fabulous personality! Her birthday is so easy to remember because my Nana and Betty are only one day a part! My Nana was born January 16, 1922 and Betty was born January 17, 1922.

*** Real outfit of the week: I didn't take a single picture of anything I wore last week!
But, my friend Alexis shared a cute try-on from The Pink Lily Boutique with all the cutest V-day looks! #5 in the carousel of pictures is my favorite!

*** The Jeopardy G.O.A.T. {greatest of all time} was crowned! Ken Jennings proved he is unstoppable when it comes to random facts! I love playing along with Jeopardy and generally do pretty well on the questions but during the GOAT series... pretty sure I was mostly silent during the GOAT episodes though... those questions were ridiculous! Congratulations Ken!

*** I finished two books last week (one I started earlier this month). They are both so good!
  -> "The Great Alone" - Kristin Hannah [fiction]
  -> "Excellence Wins - Horst Schulze, co-founder of the Ritz-Carlton [non-fiction, personal development]

*** Broke a record last week by cooking TWICE! Whaaaattt! The Herb Chicken was a new one and the stuffed peppers is one of my favorites!

  * Herb Crusted Chicken with Basil Cream Sauce:

  * Stuffed Peppers:

For my local East Tennesseans!

- Went to brunch at First Watch on Saturday and I normally get breakfast food but I tried something new - the Baja Turkey Burger. It was DELICIOUS! My side was the Italian wedding soup and it was perfect for a cold & rainy day!

- Allegiant made a HUGE announcement about adding more flights from McGhee Tyson to a few new cities! I've never flown Allegiant (I have heard stories though) but being able to fly to Austin (where my brother & sister-in-love live) or even other big cities like Chicago, Boston, or Houston for a little cheaper is exciting! Oh, did I mention there's also a flight to Myrtle Beach?? Hello easy getaways!

Click to read dates these flights begin!

What's going on this week:

- Kendra Scott Knoxville is celebrating their one year anniversary! And that means it's been almost one year since my obsession started too! Stop in the store this Friday, January 24th from 5:00-8:00! There will be music, raffles, giveaways, a photo booth and a chance to win $100 item if you RSVP by January 23rd!

- Chocolatefest! I've never been but I've heard every chocolate lover should go - a festival all about chocolate?! The event kicks off this Saturday, January 25th at the World's Fair Exhibition Hall from 9:00am-5:00pm.

The last thing is a quote to get your mindset right for the week!

And don't just wish - take action and make the change!
